FAC is a Filipino group under the Cavan Cross Cultural Community (4C), a multicultural organisation funded of Breffni Integrated CLG.  It was launched by Vanda and other Irish and Non-Irish nationals in Cavan. It is also a member of the Cavan Multicultural Society and Cavan Public Participation Network. FAC is a caring group that promotes knowledge and appreciation of the Philippines and other communities, supports local entrepreneurs, provides skills and livelihood training while fostering awareness of issues affecting migrants and marginalised groups.  FAC was awarded a Festivals Grant amounting to €750 for conducting projects promoting the Philippines.  Cavan County Council recognises the contribution that Festivals and Events make to the lives of the people of the county and this grant scheme aims to assist those events that have a tourism or community focus. On April 29, 2019, Vanda received the  Cathaoirleach’s (Cavan County Council Chair) Annual Award for Social Inclusion in 2019.  On the 1st of June,   Philippine Consulate Dublin also appointed her as the Director of Marketing & Communications, with a wide remit to manage the Consulate’s marketing and communications needs, and overall management of the Consulate.
